The 2026 season of the Ozark Mountain Golf Tour is officially underway, and Week 1 delivered in a big way. With a league-high 31 golfers on tour and a record-setting 23 competitors showing up, opening day at Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course set the tone for what’s shaping up to be the most competitive season yet. Beautiful conditions, a loaded field, and ten rookies making their debut—it didn’t take long for things to get interesting.
Brody Crawford
Leading the charge were Garrett Craig and rookie Brody Crawford, both earning the coveted 10-point “10-piece nugg”, the maximum possible in a single round. Garrett picked up right where he left off as last year’s runner-up, while Brody made a statement in his first-ever tour appearance by winning all three of his matches. Not far behind, a strong group of contenders including Nathan Parker, Chris Randolph, Derek Malcom, Aiden Brown, and rookie Denny Mayne all posted 8-point performances, with Parker and Randolph battling to a hard-fought push in one of the day’s marquee matchups.
Benny Amigon, Sawyer Alderson, Jarrett Rogers, Drew Farrer
Elsewhere, Group 2 turned into a full-on merry-go-round, with Drew Farrer, Benny Amigon, and Jarrett Rogers each winning two matches and finishing with 7 points apiece. For Drew and Jarrett, it marked impressive debuts and an early sign that this rookie class isn’t here to ease into things—they’re here to compete. Birdies were also on display from a select few, including Garrett, Chris, Benny, and Joel Barrientos, showing flashes of scoring ability that could shake up the standings all season long.
Jeremy Pendleton, Derek Malcom, Tyson White, Aaron Hall
Group 5 brought the fireworks in a different way, as every player in the group earned bonus points, meaning no one was outmatched and every match was competitive. While plenty of players made their presence known, a few notable names were absent from opening day, including defending champion Blake Poage, along with Caelan Sexton, Kevin Scharf, Lucas Morrison, and Skyler Henson. Two rookies, Jim Julian and Ty Williams, also missed their debut—but with a long season ahead, there’s plenty of time to make up ground.
Ethan Eads, Caden Dye, Gaven Morgan, Garrett Craig
With Week 1 in the books, the message is clear: the competition is deeper, the rookies are ready, and nobody can afford to fall behind early. The tour now turns its attention to May 16th at Holiday Hills Golf Club, where the always-fun par 68 layout will provide a new kind of challenge. It’s a course that rewards precision but punishes mistakes—and if opening week was any indication, we’re in for another wild ride.
