Nathan Parker, Jorden Henson, & Tud Gold
Pointe Royale Brings the Heat for the First Major
The OMG Tour teed up its first Major of the season with a 2-man scramble at Pointe Royale Golf Course in Branson, MO. This year’s twist? Teams were drawn at random using color-coded golf balls — a roulette-style pairing system that made for some fun (and surprising) duos. As always, the format stayed true to OMG’s roots with a handicapped setup using USGA scramble rules. With sunny skies overhead, tight fairways below, and smooth greens rolling true, the conditions were perfect for a day of strategic team golf.
Clay Stumpff & Derek Malcom
We had 15 golfers show up to compete, including two 2024 OMG members making their 2025 season debuts— Kevin Scharf and Clay Stumpf. The odd number meant one lucky guy got to swing twice on every shot: Nathan Parker, the man with the biggest boomstick in the league, who opened even par thanks to the lowest team handicap. Teams like Skyler Henson and Chris Randolph started at 1 under, while other groups included Caelan Sexton/Blake Moore and Garrett Craig/Kevin Scharf at 3 under. Derek Malcom/Clay Stumpf and Tud Gold/Jorden Henson opened at 4 under, and the rookie/vet combo of Sawyer Alderson and Cody Malcom started at 8 under.
Champions: Skyler Henson & Chris Randolph
At the end of the day, it was Chris and Skyler who ham-and-egged their way to victory, finishing two strokes under course par and three under net. Chris earned a new nickname — “Rail Gun” — after sinking a series of clutch putts that kept their round under Par. That win and clutch performance vaults Chris into sole possession of the top spot in the season standings. Great golf, better vibes.
Caelan Sexton & Blake Moore
The rest of the field held their own. Caelan and Blake put up a strong fight with a net +1. Sawyer and Cody showed up when it mattered most, carding a net +2. Garrett and Kevin posted a respectable net +3.. so close. Aiden and Blake finished with a net +5, followed by Clay and Derek at net +8 — the same score Nathan Parker posted, despite having to swing twice on every shot. The guys got to still be tired. Tud and Jordan had a rough go and rounded things on the course but had great vibes and ended at net +10. Still, there no shortage of competition from top to bottom.
Kevin Scharf & Garrett Craig
It wouldn’t be an OMG event without a little side action. Closest to the Pin honors (and $140 cash) went to Tud Gold, while Garrett Craig bombed his way to the Longest Drive title — also taking home $140. The competition was stiff, the stakes were high, and the payouts were sweet.
Cody Malcom & Sawyer Alderson
This event was everything the OMG Tour is about — bringing a crew of guys together for some competition, community, and maybe a little chirping along the way. The season rolls on with our next regular season event on June 21st at Thousand Hills Resort. It’s a unique track featuring nine par 3s, so players will want to sharpen their iron play. The format returns to our classic 6/6/6 match play — see you out there!
