Tour Rules
Format/Scoring: 6/6/6 Match Play *Handicapped*
Format: Participants play each person in their group for 6 holes, 1 point will be awarded for participating in the event.
Winning a Match: Earns 3 points toward season standings
Drawn Match: Receive 1 point toward season standings
Losing a Match: No points are awarded.
Attendance: Members earn points for attending each event. Attending regular events will earn members 1 point while attending special events can earn members more than 1 point (Two Man Scramble: 3 Points, Brothers Cup: 5 Points, & OMG Open: 4 Points)
Handicap Calculation: A player will use their USGA handicap. If a participant doesn't have a USGA handicap, the league organizers (Jorden or Skyler) will assign one based on average scores. The Rules Enforcement Committee may adjust handicaps if necessary for the fairness of the league.
Discrepancies: In case of any discrepancies in handicaps or concerns about fairness, participants are encouraged to bring them to the attention of the Rules Enforcement Committee for review.
Playing Conditions and Rules:
Play the Ball Down: Participants are required to play the ball as it lies at all times.
Putting: All putts must be holed out; NO GIMMES OR CONCEEDED PUTTS ALLOWED.
Debris Removal: While debris around the ball may be removed, players should not alter the position or condition of the ball itself. This includes any fluffing or movement beyond the removal of debris.
Lost Ball Procedures: Players are expected to follow proper procedures when a tee shot is unplayable or cannot be found. The use of a provisional is strongly encouraged to maintain the pace of play.
Double Par Max: If a player reaches double par on a hole, they must pick up their ball and proceed to the next hole.
Recording Scores: Participants must record a score for each hole; no holes are to be conceded.
Order of Play: Use mutual agreement for determining the order of play whenever possible otherwise use PGA standards to determine order.
Penalties and Enforcement: Any violation of playing conditions and rules may result in penalties. The Rules Enforcement Committee has the authority to enforce penalties, including disqualification in extreme cases.
Etiquette:
Pace of Play: Maintain a brisk pace of play to ensure that all matches are completed within a reasonable time frame.
Respect for the Course: Treat the golf course with respect, repairing divots and ball marks.
Player Behavior: Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship. Any behavior deemed unsportsmanlike may result in disciplinary action at the discretion of the Rules Enforcement Committee
Reporting:
Scoring: Each cart will post a score for all members of the group. You will record the non-adjusted score for the hole.
Timeliness: Participants are required to report scores promptly after completing a match. Delays in reporting may affect the standings and the overall pace of the league.
League Updates:
Season Standings: Players will receive points by attending events, winning matches and placing in special events. Members can qualify for the 2-Day Championship Weekend by attending 6 out of the 9 regular season events. Members can also qualify by being amongst the upper half in league standings.
Communication Channels: The official communication channels include the league's website, email, and designated social media platforms. Participants are encouraged to regularly check these channels for updates and announcements.
