The regular season of the Ozark Mountain Golf Tour came to a dramatic close on September 20th at the beautiful Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield, MO. With perfect fall weather and beers in hand, the league’s top contenders teed off knowing there was more than just pride on the line — the regular season title was still up for grabs.
Three golfers entered the day with a shot at finishing first: Blake Moore, Chris Randolph, and Caelan Sexton. Sexton, trailing by 8 points, turned in a solid round and picked up 7 points, but it wasn’t enough to leapfrog the leaders. Randolph, meanwhile, needed a perfect 10-point day to even have a shot — and he delivered. All eyes then turned to Blake Moore, who needed a win or a tie in his final match to claim the title.
In a showdown that had the entire league watching, Moore went head-to-head with Aiden Brown. With Randolph now finished and nervously cheering for Brown, the match stayed tight through all 9 holes. But Moore held his nerve, clinching the win on the final hole to secure his first-ever regular season championship. A legendary finish to a fiercely competitive season.
Beyond the top-tier drama, this year’s playoff bracket is stacked with fresh faces. Five rookies finished in the top 16: Randolph, Nathan Parker, Benny Amigon, Sawyer Alderson, and Blake Poage all made major statements in their debut seasons. In fact, the bracket is evenly split — 8 rookies and 8 returning members — setting up a true clash of experience vs. hungry newcomers.
With match play starting soon, eyes are on a mix of seasoned threats and intriguing rematches. Ethan Eads (13th) enters as a true dark horse, facing Nathan Parker (4th) — the same opponent who edged him out in the final round of the season. Garrett Craig (14th) draws a tough matchup against last year’s runner-up, Caelan Sexton (3rd), in a battle of redemption and resilience. Another marquee matchup pits Blake Poage (8th) against Tanner Gold (9th) — the reigning OMG Tour Champion. It’s their first clash of the season, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Meanwhile, Sawyer Alderson (6th) will face Jorden Henson (11th) in a back-to-back showdown — Alderson won their most recent battle 3 & 2, but Henson will be looking to flip the script. Benny Amigon (5th) and Joel Barrientos (12th) also find themselves in a rematch after just playing in the final round, where Amigon came out on top. Finally, Derek Malcom (7th) and Skyler Henson (10th) renew their rivalry in a rematch of the 2024 Season’s 3rd place match. Malcom has taken the last two meetings, but Henson is heating up at just the right time.
The 2025 Ozark Mountain Golf Tour Championship will take place November 1st and 2nd at the stunning Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, MO. The top 16 golfers will go head-to-head in a single elimination bracket, competing in intense 9-hole match play showdowns. Two days, one champion — and the ultimate crown awaits the last golfer standing. Don’t miss it.
