Whats up brother!☝️ Welcome to the weekly recap of all the action-packed fun at the Ozark Mountain Golf League. This week kicked off with a bang as we delved into the thrilling and unique matchplay format. Buckle up, because it was a ride filled with birdies, bogeys, and a whole lot of beers.
Kevin Scharf
The leaderboard was bustling with excitement as Chris Obert, Landen Metcalf, Derek Malcom, Caelan Sexton, and Kevin Scharf showcased their prowess, clinching victory in not one, but two matches each! Talk about a power play on the greens. With their stellar performance, they've not only earned bragging rights but also secured a solid 7 points towards the championship. The competition is heating up as they stand tied for the lead in the overall point standings. Watch out brother, these golfing maestros mean business!
In a testament to the fairness of our handicapped format, no single member swept all their matches. It's proof positive that even the underdogs have a fighting chance on our turf. Cheers to a system that keeps the thrill alive and the playing field level!
Cody Malcom
As much as we love to tee off together, life sometimes throws a curveball. We had a few members unable to join us on the course this week. Geoffrey Stafford had the best excuse in the book – he's celebrating the arrival of a new addition to the family! Congratulations to Geoffrey and his wife Taylor on the birth of their bundle of joy, Eleanor "Nory" Stafford. We can't wait to welcome her into the golfing family!
Meanwhile, Scott Perryman embarked on a Japanese adventure, exploring new horizons while we held down the fort. And let's not forget Skyler Henson, who's on the road to recovery from a pesky viral respiratory infection. Skyler, we're sending you all the best vibes for a speedy return to the greens!
